The Silver Glance is located about 10 kilometres northwest of Burns Lake on the west side of Decker Lake. The Silver Glance and nearby Golden Glory (093K 031) occurrences together comprise the Deck property.

The area is primarily underlain by andesitic flows and breccias of the Jurassic Hazelton Group. In the vicinity of the occurrence a rhyolite dike cuts the volcanics. The showing is described as a carbonate vein zone in a well-oxidized and fractured andesite. The vein zone is up to 3.6 metres wide, striking 297 degrees and dipping nearly vertical. Near the mineralized areas the volcanics are pyritized and bleached to a buff-weathered rock with veinlets of quartz and minor carbonate.

The showings on Gerow Creek were first reported in 1926. Work from this time included several tunnels, up to 30 and 60 metres long. A vein, which in at least one place is 0.6 metres wide, contains seams of mineralization consisting of sphalerite, galena, chalcopyrite and pyrite. A selected sample in 1930 assayed 0.69 grams per tonne of gold, 106.29 grams per tonne of silver, 29.8 per cent lead and 18.2 per cent zinc (Minister of Mines Annual Report 1930, p. 147).

Examinations of the property were carried out again starting in June 1955. This included the drilling of some shallow holes. These holes had intersections of 1 to 9.3 metres in core length, averaging 3.5 per cent copper and 86 grams per tonne silver across 4.08 metres (Property File Cyprus Anvil Seraphim, R.H., 1968). In 1968, six electromagnetic check surveys were conducted on the area of the showings. A weak but appreciable response was noted over the copper zone for a distance of 390 metres. Another discontinuous and parallel weak conductor was located 60 metres to the north. Recent work consists of prospecting, soil sampling, silt sampling, magnetic surveying and rock sampling in 1990 by Escondido Resources. In 1992, prospecting, magnetic surveying and rock sampling was completed by J.A. Chapman and G.H. Rayner.

A potential reserve of 680 000 tonnes of material grading 3 per cent copper and 34 grams per tonne silver was proposed for the site (Property File Cyprus Anvil Kidd, R., 1968).
